Aubrey Capital was established in 2008 to source and manage real estate investment opportunities for accredited investors. Kit McQuiston is the Founder and Managing Partner of Aubrey Capital.

A unique limited liability company or other special purpose entity is created to make each investment. Real estate investments are usually held for a period of three to seven years and target an average annual internal rate of return (IRR) of between 15% and 25%, depending on the nature of the investment. Investments focus primarily on the New York Metropolitan Area and consist of residential and hospitality development.

Strategic Partnership: Aubrey Capital is an affiliate of Brooklyn Hotel Group (BHG), which specializes in acquiring, repositioning, and developing hotel properties.

Established in 2014, Aubrey Ventures makes direct investments into early stage private companies. Targeted companies are in viable markets with few competitors and tend to offer unique solutions that are scalable. In addition to growth capital, we often support founders through strategic advisory or board roles. This active investment approach strengthens company performance, provides insight for future funding, and aligns long-term interests.

Aubrey Ventures maintains active investments in over 70 companies. Exits include: Sync-On-Set, comiXology, Sandstone Diagnostics, Motion Intelligence, Surgical Innovation Associates and First Due.

Kit McQuiston

Founding & Managing Partner

Kit McQuiston leads all real estate investment activities at Aubrey Capital. He is also a Founding Partner of Brooklyn Hotel Group and a Principal at Wilfrid Aubrey, a multi-asset family office focused on special situation investments. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at NYU Stern School of Business where he teaches the class Real Estate Development and Entrepreneurship.

Preceding the formation of Aubrey Capital, Mr. McQuiston was the Director of Equity Investments for Time Equities, a New York based real estate investment company. Prior to such time, Mr. McQuiston served as a Vice President in the Private Banking Division of Bankers Trust Company.

Mr. McQuiston is an active investor and advisor to early stage private companies through Aubrey Ventures and as a member of the New York Angels.

Mr. McQuiston received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
